About Me.
Susana Moyaho is a multidisciplinary visual artist and photographer whose practice spans photography, moving image, AI, and mixed media.
Her practice often begins with personal and found photographic archives, which she transforms through scanning, printing, glitch processes, hand intervention, and lo-fi digital tools. Rather than treating error as something to correct, she uses it as a visual language and a method for creating new meanings.
She is the co-creator of The Unperson Project, an ongoing collaborative archive built from photographs people have chosen to erase from their personal histories. Alongside her independent artistic practice, she has maintained a long relationship with music, creating photography, album artwork, visual sequences, and music videos for international artists.
Her work has been exhibited in Mexico, the United States, Peru, and Argentina, and featured in publications across Mexico, the U.S., and Europe. Her cinematography credits include the documentary Insurgentes and the short film Silla Eléctrica para Moscas. In 2020, she was an invited speaker at TEDxTukuy.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and a Master’s degree in Fashion Photography from Escuela Superior de Artes y Espectáculos TAI in Madrid.
